Meet our Pediatric Dental Staff

Our dental team is a dynamic group of people, each with a unique character, outstanding commitment to quality, and incredible ability to serve you. Our entire staff is highly trained and dedicated to provide a superior level of pediatric dental care, with many of our staff members having been with this practice for over 25 years. Our hygienists have all graduated from accredited schools of Dental Hygiene and our assistants have all earned certification as Registered Dental Assistants, an educationally based, licensed credential through the Texas State Board of Examiners. Our team regularly participates in continuing education in order to stay current with the latest treatments and to provide you and your family with a comprehensive dental experience. Our team is professional, respectful, and outgoing, and each of us looks forward to making your family's dental experience as positive and rewarding as possible.

Hygienists

Audia RDH - New Patient Coordinator, Marketing

"Each day is an exciting, new challenge. Making sure each and every child has a great experience in our office is my number one priority."

Audia began with the practice in 1983. She is a graduate of Tyler Jr. College School of Dental Hygiene. In her spare time she gardens and loves to write. She is married to Phil and between them they have six children and six grandchildren, a cat named Elvis, a dog named Walker and a talking African Grey Parrot named Buzz.

Amanda RDH, BS- School Program Coordinator, Radiation Safety Officer

"It is such a treat to work in an office that is so fun and positive. I truly love children and my goal is to make sure that every child leaves our office having a positive experience."

Amanda graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She grew up in Oklahoma and currently lives in Rowlett with her husband Scott and their two beautiful daughters. She is an avid reader and also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Laura RDH - Assistant School Program Coordinator

"Woodhill Dental Specialties is such a wonderful work environment. Working with children provides new and exciting adventures every day."

Laura graduated from Howard College in west Texas in 1998. She has spent the last seven years in pediatric dentistry. She attributes her desire to become a parent to the joys of working in pediatric dentistry. She is the mother of two awesome young boys. In her spare time she teaches yoga to men, women and children at her yoga studio in east Dallas.

 

 Our Assistants

Janet RDA, BA -  OSHA Coordinator, Operative Assistant

"I chose this career because educating the children and families of Dallas about the importance of healthy, happy smiles has proven to be very rewarding."

Janet started working in the practice part-time when she was in high school. Upon her graduation at Baylor University she started here as a full-time assistant. She works primarily with operative and sedated patients. Janet and her husband Hunter have two children. They spend their free time keeping up with their children's extracurricular activities.

Marisela RDA -  Assistant OSHA Coordinator, Operative Assistant

"I love the opportunity to interact with children of all ages. It gives me such joy to communicate with them and help them overcome any fears they may have about going to the dentist."

Marisela began working part-time in the practice when she was in high school. After graduation she became a full time employee. She and her husband Mark have two daughters and one son. They are very active in their church.

Elizabeth RDA - Treatment Coordinator, Operative and Hygiene Assistant

"Everyday is different when you work with children. There will never be a dull moment."

Elizabeth is a former medical assistant who left that field to join the dental profession. She is the mother of two very busy girls. She is very involved in their outside and school activities.

Nelda RDA - Operative and Hygiene Assistant

"I really enjoy the opportunity to work with children. Every one of them is fun and loveable."

Nelda brings sixteen years of experience in dentistry to our practice. She has five years in general dentistry and eleven in pediatric dentistry. She and her husband Joe have three children.

Lucy - Sterilization

"The kid friendly environment and being able to provide assistance to the doctors and staff make this a great place to work!"

Lucy is a very important part of our team keeping up with our instruments and supplies. She is the very busy mother of two young girls. Outside of work she spends her time with her family, and is very involved in their activities.

Mitch - Certified Laboratory Technician

"Kids are a great way to stay young at heart!"

Mitch is our lab technician, having over eighteen years experience in his chosen field. Mitch grew up in Garland, attending South Garland High School and later Texas Tech University. He is the father of boy/girl twins and they keep him very busy. His other interests include hunting, fishing and snow skiing. He is also an avid painter and sculptor.

 

 

 

Office Staff

Pam - Office Manager, Bookkeeper

"I take very seriously my position as a facilitator and try to handle each challenge with understanding and kindness."

The "go-to" person in our practice, Pam is always available to answer any questions or assist you with your concerns. She brings a plethora of experience in management as well as bookkeeping. Do not hesitate to call her should you need assistance or have questions regarding our practice.

Jo - File Clerk

"Being around the children everyday keeps me young in spirit and at heart!"

Jo is responsible for all of our charts each day and making new charts. She is a mother, grandmother and also a great-grandmother. She loves country life, and spending time with her family. She is currently raising her two great grandchildren.

 

Keri - Call Center

"I love this practice and the staff and patients have become my second family. I hold them very dear to my heart."

Keri came to the practice in 1985. She is one of the voices you will hear when you call our office. She is also a former patient. Keri and her husband Kent have one daughter and two grandchildren. They love spending time with the grandchildren and traveling.

Cheryl - Call Center

"I always try to answer the phones with a smile and hope it reflects in my voice. Someone once said to me: 'Smile! Sunshine is good for your teeth!' So I try to convey sunshine."

Cheryl answers our phones and confirms appointments. She will also be the person who calls you when it is time for your child's check up. She is the mother of three young men and one daughter.

Johanna - Call Center, Insurance and Financial Coordinator

Johanna has been with the practice since 2004. She is bilingual and a great asset to our office. She also handles orthodontic contracts and payment plans. Please call her if you have any questions regarding your account or insurance claims. Johanna attended Woodrow Wilson High School here in Dallas and is the mother of one young son. She is very involved in her son's school and activities. She also finds time to pursue her interest in cooking.
