Woodhill Dental Specialities is proud to be a supporter of local community events through sponsorship and patient education. As a part of the Dallas, Texas community, we recognize how important it is to support the community that we live and work in. Sponsoring and attending fun events throughout the community is just one of the ways that we’re able to give back.
This summer, we were proud to have sponsored the Dallas Mom’s Blog Summer Park Hop. These events took place throughout the summer on five different days. The final event took place at Glencoe Park in Dallas on Wednesday, August 7th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. All five events were free for attendees and took place near park playgrounds. This gave children the opportunity to play together while parents mingled and learned about oral health.
At these events, we shared some fun tips and tricks for mom’s looking to keep their children’s dental health in tip-top shape. We also shared insight on when parents should schedule their kid’s first dentist appointments.
Here are some photos and highlights from one of the playdates. The theme was superheroes…
Our team got the chance to lead kids through a toothpaste workshop, where participants learned how to properly brush paper teeth. We used a variety of fun colored “toothpastes” to keep kids engaged in the activity.
We even got to bring along one of the giant stuffed teddy bears from the Woodhill Dental Specialties’ office. Kids loved taking pictures with the teddy bear, as well as picking up pointers on how to properly care for “his teeth”. Here are some of our team members posing with our bear.
We had a variety of different activities set up for kids to participate in. This included brushing the teddy bear’s teeth. Learning how to properly brush your teeth can sometimes be easier using props like the giant teddy bear.
We gave away super hero themed bubbles. Everyone loves bubbles, no matter how old you are. They proved to be a big hit.
Attendees could also take pictures with the super hero masks, which we had available in a wide range of colors and symbols. We also had goody bags to give away full of fun dental freebies and information about our practice.
Overall, we were very pleased to be a part of this special event with Dallas Moms. We look forward to future opportunities to connect with the local community and support local families. If you have an event that you’d like Woodhill Dental Specialties to attend, please contact us.
